Earth Bound Products is a compostable bags manufacturer in Hyderabad. We make compostable carry bags, produce bags, garbage bags, medical waste bags, garment bags and pouches at our own plant in Medchal, on the northern edge of Hyderabad. Send us the product, size, quantity, printing and delivery location, and we quote directly as the manufacturer. We supply across Hyderabad, Telangana and the rest of India.
This guide is for shop owners, restaurant managers, hospital buyers and distributors who want to buy compostable bags in bulk without guesswork.
Why buy from a compostable bags manufacturer directly?
Buying from the manufacturer means you deal with the people who cut, seal and print your bags. That helps in three ways:
- Custom sizes and printing are decided with the team that makes them.
- Repeat orders stay consistent, because the same plant keeps your approved size and artwork.
- Questions about materials and specifications go straight to the source.
Our Medchal plant handles bag making, cutting, sealing, sizing, printing and finishing in-house.
What compostable bags can you order from Earth Bound?
| Product | Typical sizes (inches) | Thickness | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| U-cut / W-cut carry bags | 8×10 to 27×30 | 30–50 microns | Retail counters, takeaway, pharmacies |
| D-cut carry bags | 8×12 to 20×24 | 35–60 microns | Boutiques, gift and garment stores |
| Produce and grocery bags | 5×8 to 16×24 | 30–45 microns | Fruit, vegetable and grocery sections (food grade) |
| Small pouches | 4×6 to 8×11 | 35–40 microns | Small items, spices, accessories |
| Garbage bags and bin liners | 17×19 to 35×45 | 30–50 microns | Kitchens, offices, hotels, wet and dry waste |
| Medical waste bags | as per container | — | Hospitals, clinics, labs |
| Garment bags | as per garment | — | Clothing stores, tailors, laundries |
Sizes and microns are from our size chart and are approximate; the final size depends on material, design and use.
Our garbage bags and bin liners suit the wet and dry waste streams that the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 ask businesses to separate. All of these belong to our range of 100% Certified Compostable Products. The range is DRDO Approved, Backed by DRDO technology and Made in India.
Not sure about handle styles? Our guide on U-cut vs D-cut carry bags explains which one suits which load.
How do you pick the right size and thickness?
Do not pick from a photo. Pack a real order and measure it.
- Weigh your heaviest common order. A 13×16 U-cut bag in 40 microns carries about 3.5 kg; a 16×20 in 45 microns carries about 6 kg.
- Leave room above the items so the handles close without strain.
- Test samples with your staff at the counter, then with a customer walking out.
- Keep to 3–4 sizes. Fewer sizes are faster to pack and easier to reorder.
Thicker is not always better. A bag that is thicker than the load needs only costs you more.
What should your enquiry include?
The quickest quotes come from enquiries that list:
- product and handle type (for example, U-cut carry bag)
- size and thickness, or the item and weight you want to carry
- monthly or one-time quantity
- printing: logo file, colours, one or both sides
- delivery PIN code, and whether stock goes to one store or several outlets
Restaurants and cafés can read our takeaway carry bag guide. If you want your logo on the bag, see the custom printing checklist. Hospitals can go straight to our guide on medical waste bags.
Why does the "compostable" marking matter?
Under India's Plastic Waste Management Rules, plastic carry bags must be at least 120 microns thick, but compostable carry bags are exempt from that thickness rule. They must be marked "compostable". That marking is what tells a customer, or a municipal inspector at your counter, that a thin bag is allowed.
Do you also make regular plastic bags?
Yes, as a separate range. Our plastic products are for buyers who specifically need conventional material:
When you enquire, tell us which range you need so the quote is clear. Our carry bags are compostable only.
Where is the plant, and who do you supply?
Earth Bound Products, Shed No. 1, D. No. 13-194/2, Survey No. 128/1, Raghavendra Nagar, beside Medchal Bus Stop, Medchal 501401, Telangana.
Buyers in Secunderabad, Kompally, Kukatpally, Gachibowli and the rest of Hyderabad deal with the same team as buyers in other Indian cities. We send bulk orders across India.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply outside Hyderabad?
Yes. We take bulk enquiries from anywhere in India.
Can you print our logo on compostable bags?
Yes. Share your logo file, colours, bag size and quantity, and we will send a proof.
Are your bags food grade?
Our produce bags are food grade. Carry, garbage, garment and medical bags are made for their own uses, not for direct food contact.
What details do you need for a quote?
The product, size or load, quantity, printing and delivery PIN code. A photo of what you pack helps too.
Which bag should a kirana or supermarket use?
Produce bags for loose fruit and vegetables, and U-cut carry bags for the checkout. Start by testing two or three carry bag sizes against your usual baskets.
